Point is the story of a girl.
This girl is a catgirl.
this isn't a big thing, 'cause there are other animal types in her world.

Elves, however, are.

Lizbet Felis is a catgirl in high school. she goes through the normal trials and tribulations of high school life...
until things happen. then her world, which was already silly, gets strange.

and we'll see what happens from there.

Rating | "History of" Essay | World of Point | Author Bio

The official rating for Point comics is Web 14, for occasional swearing and a Bi character. if any of this offend you, then i'm sorry. I meant point to be a for-everyone type of thing, not much higher than PG, but i was in a really crappy mood when i started writing/drawing the summercamp story arc, so there's language i regret using in there. but what's done is done and there are cuss words.

There will never be full nudity, sexual situations or anything of that sort. There may be slight innuendo from Missy, cause that's just part of her character.

Please be mature and don't bawl me out in hate mail because you didn't pay attention. thanks!

Point comics had several incarnations before it finally came into being on keenspace in early 2002.
As of the time this page was written, 11:55 AM 8/13/2003, I'm about to go into my junior year of highschool.

The original point comics was conceived of... somewere in 8th grade. it consisted of a bunch of really obvious characters based on my classmates, with no defined plot, but attempts to be weird and sluggy-like. this was fairly soon after i had discovered webcomics in general and was just discovering anime. i fondly remember my only really original characters, Jiff and Chia, whose mother watched too much tv. *sigh* anyway, that was the first time i got on keenspace. i've deleted almost everything from that misguided time. i can't even find my paper sketches. it was ended when i discovered netscape's ftp wouldn't work with keenspace, and the site was deleted because i hadn't uploaded anything within 3 months of getting my page. I'm kind of surprised i didn't give up right then.

Anyway, after that account got deleted, i scrapped my characters and found out about the online ftp. ^_^. while i was waiting for the new keenspace site, I came up with a new plot. it was going to be about a writer who was saddled with her twin nieces to raise. the twins wore really horrible dated clothing... *shudders*. i'm quite glad i scrapped that before i got my site.

Next up was Lizbet. i was doodling, trying to come up with new characters. I came up with yet another author insert and was trying to think of something that would make her different. i came up with the bangs.

Liz was born.
Point Comics came into existence as a horrible angelfire site.( right here) T he logo that's up there was from point's first ever incarnation. nice, huh? -.- Point went thru a a dozen or so characters before i settled on the regular cast. It started out as a gag comic, no set plot or real set characters besides Liz and her brother James. However, i soon fell to the siren lure of plot. that, and elves. i like elves. ^_^. point settled into the rut it's in today, and all was well. Now the site has actual web design, extra pages, and plotlines!

Point was accepted into keenspace in january of 2002. the first point comic went up on my angelfire site December 27th, 2001. thus, that's Point's birthday. Point is 1 year and about 9 months old. We hope you'll stay with us for years to come. ^_^

thanking you kindly for reading, Lizabeth H

Point Comics never had any defined world. it was just a gag comic. However, I found myself wondering where they lived. i suspect it's a world much like The Simpsons live in, some pocket dimension that hooks into everywhere they wanna go. They don't live in any defined country or state, though they seem to live in a place quite similar to America.

Well, wherever they are, it's a place that accepts Anthros as comonplace, but magic and elves? Don't be absurd. They have fast food, malls, and the other benefits of technology. There is l337sp34k and anime, pocky and french food, and other assorted cultural things, although I haven't defined any specific countries or continents.

as with any world, there is more to the world than the characters know, and more of the background of the Point Universe will enfold. top

Lizabeth H is my name online. I have a nice formal name that goes on all my documents, but I prefet my art name. It looks better in the corner of my artworks, and it's much less stuffy than my full name.

I'm going into my junior year of high school and considering an art school for college. I love science fiction and fantasy writing, and my favorite author is Terry Pratchett. I watch tons of anime. I find most magical girl stuff perfectly hilarious but just adore CLAMP. Other favorite anime/mangas include Love Hina and Trigun.

Squidgit, and g'night!
